Promoting good mental health and emotional well-being
So often we only talk about mental health when it starts to affect us negatively. However, there are ways that we can be promoting good mental health and emotional well-being on an ongoing basis. Read here the Tutor Coach top tips for promoting good mental health and emotional well-being.
- Eat well. Broadly this should be a healthy balanced diet but building in some treats can also help us to feel good in ourselves as long as we don’t over indulge
- Sleep well. Having a good sleep routine is one of the most important things we can do to promote good mental health. Too much or too little sleep can be a sign that all is not well
- Talk to someone. This could be as simple as saying Good Morning to your neighbour or a chat on the phone with your Nan. It could be coffee with your girlfriends or analysing the sports results with your mates
- Get out in nature. Having the natural world around you is a great way to relieve stress and being outside also helps top up that all important Vitamin D
- Exercise. Any form of movement is ok, it doesn’t have to be a full on session at the gym.
