Early Intervention for better outcomes
The Early Intervention Foundation have published priorities to support levelling up for children and young people in the post pandemic world. Parenting and support for parents is a key aspect of this. So too is social and emotional development in schools and mental health and behavioural interventions.
But why do these things matter?
Children and young people need the building blocks in place to be able to access and succeed in their education.
Early Intervention gives better outcomes.
Parents matter.
Schools matter.

A child with enormous potential to do well in education cannot access their education if they are not emotionally well or psychologically resilient. In the post Covid world it becomes even harder. All children have faced disruption to their lives and many more are anxious about what their future will look like.
It is easy to feel hopeless but we cannot give up. Evidence from research shows that we can build up children and young people to be mentally strong and academically resilient. There is support for our children and young people if they are experiencing mental health difficulties if we know where to look and if we prioritise early intervention.
